Transformative Education in Practice
Our educational initiatives explore how learning can become a driving force for sustainability, equity, and systemic change. Whether through immersive workshops, interdisciplinary programs, or real-world group projects, each of our formats empowers learners to act with purpose and responsibility in an increasingly complex world.

Bildung Climate School
The Bildung Climate School (BCS) is a pioneering program that brings together students from vocational (MBO), applied (HBO), and academic (WO) education. Hosted by Erasmus University Rotterdam, Albeda College, Willem de Kooning Academy, and others, BCS focuses on collaborative learning and real-world projects around climate and sustainability. Through reflective practices, creative dialogue, and interdisciplinary teamwork, participants explore how education can bridge systemic divides and empower civic action.

Education for Social Change – Summer School
This four-day Summer School is designed for students, educators, and changemakers who see education as a catalyst for social and environmental justice. Hosted in collaboration with Erasmus University College and DRIFT, the program combines critical theory, embodied pedagogy, and serious games to inspire transformative learning. Led by Dr. Ginie Servant-Miklos, the course connects academic knowledge with practical change-making strategies.

Minor – Action Education for Social Change
This interdisciplinary minor engages students from Erasmus University Rotterdam, TU Delft, and Leiden University in a transformative learning journey. Rooted in experimental pedagogy, the program consists of three interconnected tracks: educational theory, project-based learning, and reflective practice. Students identify real-world problems and develop classroom interventions to address them, while critically examining their own learning process.
